Bianca is the best bartender / server that we have ever had. We need this place to stay open!

Classic Sacramento downtown gem. Excellent venue to relax from the buzz and enjoy authentic Chinese food. Won ton soup, Kung Pao chicken with a cocktail, beer and Monday night football. I'm going to miss this place. Enjoy while you still can.

My favorite dive bar! And a great Chinese restaurant too! How have I not reviewed this place before?! I've spent many a fun night in here with my friends, Simon, Simon Jr & Cowboy. This is a "cheers" style bar for the regulars, and a hopping late night destination with some of the most reasonably priced drinks in town. The central bar with old school colorful stained glass makes for a fun classic bar vibe. Whether you are starting out your night or ending it here, it's a fun lively spot. And during regular hours, this is a Chinese restaurant, with the classics like roast duck, Szechuan beef and honey walnut prawns. But our fave late night options were the chow mein and spring rolls! This was a classic meeting spot for many a politician in Sac- Gov Jerry Brown was a regular. I'm so sad to hear that this Sacramento legacy is closing down!

THEEE BEST Brandy Fried Chicken ever! I was a food critic for a talk radio station and it defiantly gets a 5-star rating from me. I am saddened it is closing I wish they'd sell the restaurant with all the recipes to go with the new owner.

One of my local favorite bar and Chinese food. I've been coming to Simon's for years... and the vibe and food never disappoints. The service is always personable. But the food....... is so good. The fried chicken is so crispy!!! You'll have to try! Great local hangout and chill vibes.

After an evening walk around the neighborhood, I decided Chinese food would hit the spot for dinner, and that I needed to FINALLY see what Simon's was all about. I got the combo with chow mein and walnut prawns. The amount of food and quality for the price was pretty decent. I took my order to go, but I could definitely see the appeal of eating at the bar after a couple drinks. I look forward to trying some of their other menu items next time!

Went here for the first time to catch up with a friend recently. We've both never been here (and I didn't even know it existed until my friend mentioned it) so we met up here after work on a Friday. This is on 16th Street so parking can be hit or miss. I parked about 2 blocks away from here on 16th Street since that was the closest I could find on a Friday evening. The inside of the restaurant has booths, and there is a bar right when you walk into the restaurant. My friend and I were seated at a booth near the kitchen door and were warmly greeted by staff. I ordered the single meal with their brandy fried chicken and my friend ordered the same meal, but with honey walnut shrimp instead. We had potstickers for appetizers as well. All the food were amazing and it was big portions. I only ate about half of mine and same with my friend. We took home the leftovers for lunch/dinner. The place did stay to fill up with patrons and what looked like regulars while we were eating and catching up. I will be back to try the other foods.

They're open again!!!! Be patient and kind, They're as short staffed as any other place right now. But Junior is carrying on the legacy with brandy-fried chicken, honey walnut shrimp any of course the salt and pepper prawns... the Chow main is even better than I remember. So happy this Sacramento institution is open again. I missed it so. Kitchen is open 3-11 pm. Bar open until 2 am, both Monday-Saturday. Come out and support Junior and this Sacramento institution.
